Causal padding results in dilated or causal convolutions which may be the result when output is not dependable on input. Padding pattern may be very useful when it comes to the creating model of temporal data when the model isn't supposed to violate the order, in this case, temporal order.

Dilated rate argument is the tuple or integer list or a single integer or tuple. This argument specifies a dilation rate which is used for dilated convolution. As mentioned previously, dilated rate value is one which is same as strides value which is also one. Activation argument is the function which can be used. No activation will be applied if you don't specify anything. This is a linear activation as shown below.
